Camey Denise Thompson was born on January 9, 1986, in Huntsville, Alabama, to proud parents, Velma Thompson and Dwight Pride.

Camey grew up in the Huntsville Community. She matriculated through the Huntsville City School System, graduating from J.O. Johnson High School in 2004.

Camey was a loving and free hearted person. She cared and loved her family and friends dearly. If you ever called on Camey she was always there in your time of need. She was the oldest of three girls and the oldest grandchild.

Camey leaves to cherish her precious memories: her mother, Velma Thompson of Huntsville, Alabama; her father, Dwight Pride of Huntsville, Alabama; a loving daughter, Little Miss Diamond Blowe, and a loving son, Master Alex Crutcher, IV, both of Huntsville, Alabama; two sisters, Latoya Thompson and Sherell Thompson, both of Huntsville, Alabama; brother, Patrick Carter; two loving grandmothers, Lucy Thompson and Ada Pride, both of Huntsville, Alabama; a loving grandfather, Richard Pride of Huntsville, Alabama; five aunts, Patricia Thompson, Debora Thompson (Kelsey) Smith, Barbara Ann Triplet, Pamular Pride, and Eunita Pride Turner all of Huntsville, Alabama; six uncles, Terrance Thompson, James Sandifer, William Horton, Gregory (Carolyn) Pride, Eric and Pride, all of Huntsville, Alabama and Desantis (Angelica) Pride of Knoxville, Tennessee; special friend, Alex Crutcher, III, and a host of great-aunts, great-uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 26, 2013, at the Union Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church in America (3126 Nevel Drive, Huntsville, AL 35810) with Reverend Willie James Mangruem officiating. Interment will be in the St. Ruth Cemetery. Miss Thompson will lie in repose thirty minutes prior to funeral time.

Public Viewing will be held from 11:30 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 25, 2013; and from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 26, 2013, at the Royal Funeral Home.
