Mrs. Rosemary H. Aytch
(April 23, 1947 - August 18, 2012)
Rosemary Williams Holmes Aytch was born on April 23, 1947 in Dermott, Arkansas and was preceded in death by her parents Arthell Williams and McCormick John Holmes. She was the grand-daughter of the late Clarence and Mattie Williams.
Rosemary gave her life to the Lord and was born of the Spirit of God at an early age and was a member of the Barraque Street Missionary Baptist Church in Pine Bluff, Arkansas and later a member of Christ Temple in Kansas City, Missouri. She was educated in the Arkansas Public School System, graduating from Merrill High School in 1965. She attended AM&N College (the University or Arkansas at Pine Bluff). After which she married her loving husband Annas Aytch on December 18, 1966 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Subsequently relocating to Pittsburgh, PA where Rosemary earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Sociology and Masters of Arts in Teaching with a Reading Specialist degree from the University of Pittsburgh. She taught for three years at West Mifflin Junior High School in West Mifflin, PA.
As one of the original members of Maranatha Gospel Tabernacle (now known as Covenant Church of Pittsburgh) she served faithfully in the ministry of Bishop Joseph L. Garlington, Sr.
In 1978 the family relocated to Huntsville, AL where Rosemary and family joined Liberty Church under Bob Hellman. She worked for Alabama A&M University for two years and twenty-eight years in the Huntsville City School System as a dedicated and much loved educator. In April 1993 she and her husband founded Covenant Ministries Church International where she served faithfully as an Elder, Teacher, Worship Leader, Intercessor, Friend and Confidant.
Rosemary’s radiant smile, welcoming nature and warm personality made her loved by all who came into her presence. She was a witty writer, superb cook, loved traveling, reading, volunteering and helping others. She was a “super woman”! She lived her life to please God and demonstrated His unconditional love in her devotion to her husband, children and everyone that she new.
Rosemary leaves a lasting legacy of faith and love with her husband of 45 years, Bishop Annas Aytch, Ph.D.; three daughters: Rosanna Aytch (David) Koppelmann of Yorktown, VA; Annary Aytch (Kenneth) Cheatham of Huntsville, AL; Dawnnamaria Aytch (Rodrigo) Buchanan of Huntsville, AL; one son: Samuell Annas Aytch of Atlanta, GA; five grandchildren: Jordan Clark Annas Koppelmann, Brianna Rose Koppelmann, Jay-Michael Cameron Buchanan, Kaitlyn Jewell Cheatham, and Chandler Cole Buchanan; Siblings: Brenda Williams (Joe) Dixon of Pine Bluff, AR; LaVelle Riley Holmes of Miami, FL; LoEsther Holmes Tinsley of Atlanta, GA; Reginald John (Deanne) Holmes of Denver, CO; Edward (Charlene) Pierce of North Charleston, SC; Winona Holmes (Carl) McCullen of Columbia, TN; Byron Ricardo (Gloria) Holmes of Atlanta, GA; Karen Holmes (Kenneth) Harris of Monroe, GA; Victor Alan (Naomi) Holmes of Ridgecrest, CA; Robert Farron Holmes of Denver, CO; and Shaun Orlando (Ebonay) Holmes of Atlanta, GA.
To celebrate her life, a Celebratory service will be held on Friday, August 24, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at the Whitesburg Baptist Church (Dr. Jimmy Jackson, Pastor), 6806 Whitesburg Drive, Huntsville, AL. Bishop Joseph Garlington, Sr., Pastor of Covenant Church of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, PA will deliver the eulogy.
A time for Visitation will be on Thursday, August 23, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Royal Funeral Home located at 4315 Oakwood Avenue, NW, Huntsville, AL.
